Lost
My piece is intended to break the fine line between a painting and a sculpture, interactive and non- interactive. Allowing the audience in, to relate with a work that is made to be viewed for example a painting, not touched. I want my piece to be interactive through the senses of sound and touch. I was inspired by Janet Cardiff’s work called Murder of Crows (2008) installation for sound. I want to use sound to produce an atmosphere that allows the audience to associate with the eerie concept. For touch I was also inspired by Rosalyn Driscoll’s writing on the Aesthetic Touch and how it plays with materials and texture that can also produce an emotion or create associations.
