Mayur Gori, known as the Turban Potter, hails from Gujarat and has setup his creative sanctuary aka his studio in Vikhroli, Mumbai. His artistic journey is a tale of profound self-discovery and transformation. Initially testing the waters in interior design, Mayur soon felt a creative void that clay uniquely filled, leading him to embark on a new path in pottery. Mayur's practice as a potter is deeply rooted in his vision to blend aesthetic beauty with functional design. His work is a harmonious interplay of nature, ancient art, and personal inspiration. With training from Anvi Pottery and mentorship under Shraddha Joshi from 2015 to 2023, Mayur continually pushes the boundaries of his craft, infusing each piece with a unique touch.
