Sharol Ahluwalia

Sharol Ahluwalia (India, 2001) is a ceramic artist based in London, whose work deeply engages with the intricate and layered idea of home from an internal perspective. Her art explores concepts of rest, vulnerability, and human connection, aiming to evoke a profound sense of belonging and self-reflection. Drawing on her experiences as a yoga teacher, practitioner, and her meaningful social interactions, Sharol unearths the shared elements that shape our collective notion of home. Her ceramic pieces represent a woven fabric of human experiences, akin to the yogic philosophy of kundalini. They invite viewers to contemplate their personal understanding of home and its emotional depth within. As a recent graduate of the MA Ceramics and Glass program at the Royal College of Art, Sharol’s work doubles as a meditative process and an introspective journey into the meaning of finding home both within ourselves and through our relationships with others.
