Shivangi Vasudeva is a London-based Indian designer whose work uncovers forgotten artifacts and the rich material cultures they represent. Her collection, The Alchemy of our Fibres, explores the liminal identities of the Naga community, drawing from folklore to create furniture that embodies a deep connection between nature, humanity, and ancestral traditions. Balancing unexpected volumes and horizontal forms, her pieces foster intimacy between people and land while reimagining craft narratives in a contemporary context. Rooted in collaboration, the collection integrates indigenous Loin Loom textiles woven with Naga artisans and Heirloom Naga, ensuring the preservation and evolution of these traditions through shared storytelling and resilience.
